In honor of National Historic Preservation Month, Curator of Collections Dan Lund examines Elmhurst’s lost architectural landmarks. From retail establishments and churches to private residences, learn more about local buildings originating as early as the late 1800s to structures that remained throughout the 2000s.

As the first outdoor festival in the region each year, Art in Wilder Park is a highly anticipated Spring event in the western suburbs. Voted one of the Best in the West, programming features over 125 booths of one-of-a-kind art, food vendors, and hands-on kid’s activities.

Enjoy a morning filled with eco-friendly exhibitors, hands-on demos, and on-site tool sharpening by Custom Edge Sharpening. Browse native plants from Prairie Wind Natives, grab free nasturtium seeds from Sustain DuPage, and check out the Illinois Bat Society for new insights on local wildlife.

An ongoing summer tradition, The Elmhurst Farmers’ Market is a recurring event held every Wednesday from June through October.
From 7 am to 1 pm, local farmers, bakers and other vendors will be here to sell fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, pastries, cheese, flowers, honey and more.
New in 2025, the Farmers Market had relocated to the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church parking lots. Located at 149 West Brush Hill Rd, just west of Elmhurst Hospital.
Join the Elmhurst History Museum to celebrate the opening of the museum’s new outdoor public performance space and the 50th Anniversary of the museum calling the Glos Mansion home! Enjoy a ribbon cutting and remarks from the Elmhurst History Museum team followed by a performance by musicians of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra. BYO chairs or blanket, coolers welcome.

Please join us on July 13, 2025, for the next annual Elmhurst Garden Walk & Faire, “An Afternoon in the Garden”.
The walk showcases both private and public gardens along with a boutique in Wilder Park.
The majority of the proceeds of the Walk & Faire are used to fund student scholarships. In 2024 the Elmhurst Garden Club awarded $26,545 in scholarship awards to five Illinois resident college students and to one York High School student. Since 1999, the proceeds have funded a total of 127 scholarships totaling more than $255,000.
Ticket sales are online only and begin June 1st. More details at Elmhurst Garden Club.
